Yeah i know its only a few days, but it would be interesting to know how many units got sold so far, and how realistic their '1%' target in a year really is.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

I've seen a couple rough estimates based on conjecture of 40-80 per ATT store and 300-500 per apple store that puts them between 150,000 to a little over 200,000 as of Saturday. Utterly non-factual guesstimates, though.

Lots of Apple Stores are out of stock for tomorrow. I see a lot of red dots in most states...

Not official figures but Piper Jaffray think 500,000 over the weekend, with 95% sales being the 8Gb model.

Link

Does that put the 4Gb iPhone in the same 'nobody loves us' club as the 20Gb Playstation 3?

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

I guess that makes the 4gb model the "exclusive" one, huh? I'm still a little bitter that I couldn't get an 8gb one... Of course it's not surprising that early adopters would mostly choose the bigger capacity. Anyway, 500,000 sounds very healthy to me. Thanks for putting the link here, by the way. I'm on my iphone and wouldn't have been able to paste it in. I really hope they come up with a solution for that.

I'm trying to figure out why Apple's stock is down despite this. 500,000 wasn't enough for a 3 day period?

Maybe due to the news about Universal?

Or investors cashing out?

The expectation of a great launch was built into the stock price. It's the performance between now and when the stock hits $200 that will determine Apple's true success. I don't think investors really understand what we, the inner circle, have seen yet. That word will dribble out slowly but surely...

My iPhone says that Apple stock is up 5.96 right now. Not too shabby.

And AT&T is down .42 (lawl).

Estimates are edging up to the 700k range. And the stock is climbing too.

Anyone else think Apple will hold off on announcement until they reach one million?

Some jerk-off is saying that Apple missed it's target of a million phones in the first weekend (no link - go find it yourself if you're that interested. I'm not feeding his link-bait !)

What an idiot. Who ever predicted the iPhone would shift a million units in the first weekend ? nobody, that's who.

'Analysts' were expecting 400,000, so 700,000 is almost double. Apple hit it out of the park.
