I wouldn't call it "hilarious," but it's sure a good take on the whole process, and quite funny. "Do you like making your own decisions?" Wonderful line!

It continues to perpetuate the myth that Macs are too expensive.

It's a joke. And besides, we all agree that the current Mac Pro line is quite overpriced.

Well the iPad is too expensive if you ask me.

It's kind of like the fairy tale of the Emperor's New Clothes. If you can be persuaded the new clothes fit you and are gorgeous, then you're offended by any criticism whatsoever. If you know that the new clothes don't define you, then it's absolutely hilarious.

I'm with Glenn. Definitely not 'hilarious'. And I'm not even planning on getting an iPad.

Gotta give it points for originality, though, right?
Humor takes the hot-button issues surrounding a product and arranges them in such a way that you're startled into laughing. That flow chart does it for me, but it won't work for everybody.

I chuckled.
"HIlarious" requires unintended expulsion of beverage from my proboscis. And my desk is currently dry.

I did like the line I quoted. It is so appropriate-if you can't decide whether you want something or not, some geek's flow chart will help you? Probably not, but you can give it a shot.

Note to self: Be sure to be drinking beverage when testing whether something is hilarious!
And isn't anyone tempted to put their own bullet-points into the flowchart?
For example:
"Like getting attention at Starbucks?"--"buy 2"
"Prefer getting crumbs in keyboard?"--"buy laptop"

I think it's cute and it made me chuckle, but then again I'm not the sort who gets personally offended by little jabs at Apple.

Umm, there's space for at least three continents between hilarious and being offended. Those that didn't fall over laughing weren't necessarily offended.

'Course, I've been feeling that humor's on a huge downswing in the last few years. Movies that are labelled "comedy" are really pretty angry and involve lots of bullying. The so-called "Comics" are seldom funny at all!
When I want to watch a funny movie, I have to go way, way back...
Maybe the humor I see in this flowchart is magnified by being one small bright spot in a huge desert?

You could be onto something. It is funny. But you're right that "funny" has been flagging in our society for a while now.

The vastness in between is The Field of Meh.

It's "funny" how the thread has turned into a discussion about the definition of "hilarious."
Or to put it more topically, we're just plain stuck in the Meh!
