so, i've just become aware of this show. it's a ridiculous premise that only reinforces american society's strict gender rules.
from http://www.fox.com/playingitstraight/:

Jackie and her posse head to Vegas! When they arrive, the boys compete to see who picks out Jackie's night-on-the-town attire.
The boys are given tools, materials and directions to build a stargazing tower. Jackie sits back and waits to see who steps up to lead the project.
Jackie and the remaining three head to San Francisco! At dinner, one of the guys seems to know a little too much about the silverware. Uh-oh.
Jackie is still wondering whether there's a gay man amongst the remaining guys. All three have effeminate qualities but she's learned not to jump to conclusions. It's the Series Finale! Who is? Who isn't? Time for the big reveal!

"You've got three eligible bachelors to chose from Marie, but what you don't know is one is infected with in-operable cancer!"

This will be a show, mark my words.

If you didn't watch the show, advertisers wouldn't buy time and the show would fail. Don't blame American society for the show, blame yourself for watching it and mentioning it to others.

This is a computer-generated message and needs no signature.

I've been watching the British version on and off, and I find it hilarious. Particularly the fact that Zoe has gotten rid of as many straight guys as gay guys.

Tongue in cheek, a bit of fun. There's quite a range on both sides of the fence.

Don't be so uptight.

Mix of Japanese and American reality shows:

Two of the Three Males have AIDS. You have a couple of days to investigate. You will then be forced to **** at least one of them.

Everything is possible, after online hunting.

Well I'm sure there have been gay entertainers since the dawn of entertainment. But Tchaikovsky wasn't in the movies!

The only remotely semi-decent shows on Fox are the animated ones.
