I have been searching for one desperately since Friday, but to no avail. Meanwhile, I have wrapped my 30 gig in saran wrap... which is cheap and ghetto, but I'd rather protect my baby.

If you would like to make it look better get plastic pda covers it sticks so it looks decent. I am afraid I might have it like this for a while.

After scratching the sh*t out of my last one, I really want to protect my new one.

Hello? Belkin? Dr. Mac?

That would be my single biggest problem with being an early adopter of the new iPods: NO CASES!

I didn't even *USE* my G2 10gig iPod until my iSee case arrived, just so I'd keep the backing perfect and unmarred.

I believe a few companies are working on cases as fast as they can, but I have yet to hear/see of a clear case for the G3 iPods, though they'll come out eventually I'm sure.

And good idea w/ the Saran Wrap, very clever!

Ah, I knew it was here somewhere...

Currently, the only company making new G3 iPod cases is Marware, and their line-up can be viewed/purchased here:

You better believe they are, but ya know what's uglier?

Scratches on your brand new iPod.

They would hafta do for me until new ones came out...I couldn't deal with using it w/o a case at all.

I put Saran clink wrap on the stainless steel back. It clings quite well. I left the front unprotected. When I carry the iPod I carry it in a microfiber sunglass case from sunglass hut. It keeps the fingerprints off and the metal shiny.

Sitting here looking at my dock...It doesn't look like the dock will work with any of these current choices in cases. Its a prety tight fit as it is.

Ouch!!! Yet another drawback of the new iPods...granted, they've got a lot going for them, but that would really bother me. I'd hate to hafta remove it from it's case each time I wanted to put it in it's dock...man I'm glad I picked up a G2 10gig iPod on a closeout.

An EXCELLENT tip. I went out and bought some yesterday and my pod looks great! The only down side is that the top and bottom are still naked, as I couldn't get it on there cleanly. I think I might just keep it this way for a while!

Waterfield Designs has something coming out soon, I believe. www.sfbags.com

I'm going to wait until marware makes the CEO glove available. No sense getting a case since I DON'T EVEN HAVE MY IPOD YET!!! APPLE! I'M TALKING TO YOU!

Ok... better. Sorry.
