You can now download and listen to Arnold Schwarzenegger's great speech from the iTunes Music Store.

It's free and well worth listening to, no matter what your political persuasion.

As long as we're on the topic - CSPAN is making all the speeches from both conventions available for free through a number of channels, including iTMS.

I'd say the high profile speeches from both conventions will be worth checking out.

You always require a credit card to download the 'free' songs and soundfiles in iTMS so this certainly is not free. Another thing is that the iTMS is not in my country yet - so I ask: any other places to get this, really really for free?
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

As Lerkfish correctly pointed out in another thread, it's overpriced.

I got your back. You'll need RealPlayer, though.

I never entered one when I registered..

Screenie. (If you're wondering how I could have a recent purchase with no credit card, all my downloads have been free songs.)

Well you have to enter one when you register. Simple no?

You cannot go through the registration stages without a credit card. I could show you step by step screenshots of the process but if you don't believe me try it for yourself.

If you don't mind me asking: how exactly did you manage to get an iTMS account without entering credit card information (it is required information in the registration form, like name and address)

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

One way is to already have an Apple ID with Apple's GSX or developers' programs.

http://developer.apple.com/

The "online" account is free, and I don't think they need a credit card.

Not really, I already have an apple ID, my .mac mail address. It still has to be *set up* for credit card before I can use it in the iTMS. So no go with that.

Obviously most people are not in some developers program but thanks anyway.

I'm just explaining how I did it, no need to get irritable.

I have a GSX account (I'm an Apple certified service tech), and I originally logged on to iTunes with that and didn't need to use a CC. Of course, now I do have a CC on file with them, but originally I didn't.

Sorry, it was not directed at you.

I do however think it is abysmally stupid that one needs to provide means or proof of purchasing abilities to acquire free sound files.

This is quite strange. I just tried going through the registration process again, and it seems you do need a credit card.

I honestly don't know how I got an account without one. It may have been because I registered my account during the Pepsi promotion. Sorry for the confusion.

Looks like he's getting Alzheimer's, just like Heston and Reagan. Must be a pre-requisite for being a Republican

Bush's speech is up now too. I think that all the ones that they are going to put up there are on it right now.

And as I mentioned in the Zell Miller thread two days ago, I have posted speeches that the iTMS has not posted, such as Ron Silver's, and Zainab Al-Suwaij's speeches.

I also have Bush, Cheney, Schwarzenegger, and others posted there.
Non-protected bookmarkable AAC, thank you, with better bitrate than iTMS is using for their collection.

Schwarzenegger disdains his former homeland. That's not nice to do.

How many emigrants do you think leave their homelands because they like the way things are run there?
