Man, I had no idea airbrushing and all the little stuff they do has THAT much effect!
Not sure whether it's or
On the one hand, girls we see are prettier. On the other hand, how can we find more perfect girls often if even the hot ones aren't really hot?

I think the key is context. Just know no real person is gonna look like the people you see in the media. TV, magazines and the movies are fantasies.

Hell, if TV were to be believed, every overweight and balding schlub from the suburbs would have a wife who looked 10 years his junior with perky C-cups and skin like a baby's butt.

Very true, an ex showed me the site earlier tonight, and we had that very discussion. BUT, I have found 1 girl in my life that was flawless, but she was moving when we started dating.

You gonna check out the Yotes/Stars game tomorrow? You can sit with us commoners if you change your mind about the team, we're meeting in front of the ticket/will call area around 625.

Impressive site.

It reminds me of using auto-tune in music. I realize that some people need it, and that the public has come to expect it, but it still makes me cringe every single time unless explicitly used for effect.

Airbrushed faces give me the willies.

Oh yeahhh! Airbrush make-up, the next BIG thing in the fashion industry. I wonder if it takes more time to put on make up through airbrushing or just doing the conventional way!

porn tends to create the same reaction when people face the reality of their partner's sexual preferences, and it's that exact attitude of many men which makes a lot of women feel like ****. did that website blow your mind? try & define "hot" for yourself instead of media dictating it.

Lovely pictures. A well done site.

Not of single one of those touchups was done with an airbrush. It's Photoshop all the way!

Dude. That's called airbrushing. Photoshop even has an "airbrush" tool.

The best way to tell if a girl is "really" attractive, is to see her in the morning after she wakes up.

The problem is people are so dependent upon a larger social judgment system as opposed to just going with their own natural reactions. I can't tell you how many times I've been with a bunch of guys at a bar, and one of them wanted to approach some chick but first he had to gauge whether the other guys thought she was attractive.

The whole conformity movement is pretty interesting.

I am actually on a job right now retouching watches and jewelry for a large department store.

You wouldn't believe the time and money they put into 24 images.

The inverse happened to me after I graduated from college: My roommate was moving with me from New Haven, CT, to New York City, and I was virtually broke, so I needed him to drive me to my new apartment. A few days before moving, I found someone ideal, but had already set up the moving process before we started dating, and couldn't stop because there was no work available locally and I needed to find work quickly to pay the bills.

C'est la modit vie.

When people say the girls in magazines are fake - they really mean it.

And that's the problem. Well, the problem is two-fold: guys think women should look like women they see in magazines. Even the women in the magazines themselves don't look like that in real life.

The other part is that because the guys expect "perfection", young girls think they have to do whatever they can to look like that. Then you get eating disorders, plastic surgery, and all kinds of psychological problems.

I applaud sites that make people aware of how much airbrishing is done. As for the act of airbrushing themselves? It should be toned down. I don't have anything against the odd removing of temporary blemishes, brightening or colours, etc. - but when it comes to actually changing the shape of the model - I don't think I agree with that.
