Damn good movie!

I didn't know what to expect but I haven't seen this cool fighting scenes for a long time. Since Matrix I guess. Pretty low budget but HIGH quality!

Highly recommended.
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

Ya I bought it on DVD just because the trailer looked cool. I was not disappointed.

I thought it was worth the rental. I really wanted to see Christain Bale, aka the next Batman, in action.

corny, tired plot that is simply a spin-off of the matrix

Came out before the Matrix, cool ass movie.

The plot was decent, resembles 1984 quite a bit (one of my more favorite books).

Though I have to say the most inventive part of the movie was gun martial arts, really cool and futuristic. Character development was a bit weak but of well.

Haven't watched this movie. Since the Matrix series had huge amounts of money behind it, and yet it still pretty much sucked ass and requires a large encyclopedia just to understand, I'd say this must be atleast as good.

Maybe just because at the end you won't say to yourself: WTF?!

I don't see how the Matrix and this movie have ANYTHING in common.

What computers are enslaving humanity or virtual worlds are there in Equilibrium?

I thought it was pleasantly funny/unpredictable how short the final battle was
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

Listen to the director's commentary on the final fight. It's pretty amusing, and it explains why it was so short.

Except for cool fighting scenes and being a sci-fi, nothing in common.

I thought it was enjoyable but definitely not a classic. All a bit too silly really. Interesting idea though.

I don't know what he's referencing, but it could be that Equilibrium was actually made before the matrix but wasn't distributed until much later.
