Yes, I have two hunting riles at my fathers house (a .22 for small game hunting and a 20-20 for large deer hunting [which I haven't done in years])
I don't house them in my house, and I support heavy hand gun regulation.
Hand guns give legitimate hunting riles a bad name.

1 Gun
A Smith and Wesson 22cal target pistol. I really nice gun for target practice, but not much else.
I had no problem waiting the 11 days here in California to pickup the gun.

No guns here, but my arms do catch fire when I'm working out...well they burn at least...

I own a Smith & Wesson 9mm CS9:
Why? Personal protection for my family and myself. We travel a lot and I want to be able to protect us if need be while on the road. Not only that, if some nutjob breaks into my house at night, I have no qualms about making him limp to the ambulance with a blown-out knee cap (yes, I can shoot that well).
As for safety, that's the owner's responsibility but one reason I bought the pistol I did when I did, is because it's a Smith & Wesson (of course), and it has a feature that prevents it from being discharged unless the clip is fully seated in its housing, even if there's already a round in the chamber. Most pistols have this capability nowadays.

For "Protection" i have a mean ass Kill Bill type sword. I don't know how to use it but if someone busts into my house I have seen enough lightsaber fights to figure out what to do with it

Remember to point that thing away from yourself.

I call the cops, not going to have a ****ing shootout in my house. If someone comes into my house with a gun he is probably not wanting to shoot me but scare me with it so he can rob me. If I point a gun at him then he will most likely pull the trigger right away.

Perhaps, but can you whip your bow and arrow from your nightstand's drawer and have it ready to fire in under 5 seconds?

If that were true SWG would have two as would 50% of the US population who like to stuff their faces with Supersized Fries.
I have no firearms unfortunately. The cost of joining a gun club has been more than I would be able to justify and since I don't hunt I wouldn't have much use for a rifle.

I own one gun, a Beretta 92FS Brigadier Inox. It's an old tradition in my family for the males to own a gun. Whenever I visit my brother, who keeps my gun "in a safe place", we always go to an indoor shooting range for fun.

I have an SKS Assault Rifle much like this one
It has a retractable razor sharp bayonet and an attachable tripod thing for trench fighting.
I understand that it is illegal to own in many places such as california.
It's .

It stopped vibrating long before I bought it on Ebay. Its previous owner wore it out - you.

Its certainly time the second amendment of the US consititution was...um...amended to remove the right of individuals to own firearms.
Until people have had enough of adults, and kids killing each other...the unfortunate ethos of the United States of America will linger.

Yes. I have a Remington 20 gauge shotgun. I use it to shoot skeet/trap. Honestly, I think everyone should own at least one firearm.
