I won't know the quality of the sword until you cut up something in the room, like a potted plant.

I wanted it as a collectors item. It's beautiful and elegant, and something I just like to have.

The history of the Katana debacle:

Ever heard of a mother not letting her son buy a sword?

Does anyone know about cleaning Katana's?

I wonder how his mom feels about his having a weapon in the house...

What's with the creepy porn-like reverence toward the katana in the youtube vid? Nice touch with the extra 10 seconds of you tucking in the liner, but you can edit videos like that down to 20 seconds in iMovie.

Your mom needs to cut your DSL line with the razor sharp katana and make you go outside. You're headed for some kind of record on creating truly pitiful threads wanting people to accept your childish thoughts. What kind of reaction do you expect these pathetic pleas for help to get?

That's strange, your myspace picture looked just like I pictured you.

You look like a pretty standard issue kid. Though I have no idea why you think katanas are so awesome. Too much anime perhaps?

And on the original subject, I was going to vote a 1 until I saw this:
"Weighted Average Ratings

IMDb publishes weighted vote averages rather than raw data averages. Various filters are applied to the raw data in order to eliminate and reduce attempts at 'vote stuffing' by individuals more interested in changing the current rating of a movie than giving their true opinion of it.
The exact methods we use will not be disclosed. This should ensure that the policy remains effective. The result is a more accurate vote average."

Could be why it's still a 7 after 70 nn'ers gave it a 1. So I was going to give it a 4, but I didn't want to register.

If you like this title, we also recommend...
A Little Princess (1995)

"Quotes:
Mary: Stop this crying, I hate you! Everybody hates you! You're so selfish.
Colin: I'm going to die!
Mary: What would you know about dying?
Colin: My mother died!
Mary: Both my parents died! it's because you're so selfish!
Colin: Not as selfish as you are!"

Great dialogue!

Ok posters time to let them have it. MacNN Staff It's our duty to let MacNN know we hate intelliTXT!

YOU were the one that linked to a website full of pictures of yourself.

Seriously dude, were you born yesterday or do you not understand how the internet works?

We have your myspace link now, we have numerous photos of you now, it's over.... whining about it will only make it worse. Take you medicine like a man.

Part of me is amazed how cold MacNN is to a 14 year-old kid.

He is 14? Probably best if everyone just dropped it as it is a bit odd having 20/30 somethings on a computer forum picking on him seems a bit more pathetic that anything he has to say.

Exactly!

I had some crazy and immature opinions at his age, I'm sure all of you did too. Back off...

Teasing about his swords and Secret Garden thing is one thing, ripping him a new one is another.

Agreed. Ribbing someone is one thing, but denying a 14 year old the uniqueness of being a 14 year old is short-sighted.

I sure wish I had a Mac clone when I was 16 years old. The only modern computer then was a Commodore P.E.T. and there was no way my mom was going to spring for one of those. I used to go to school an hour early and leave two hours late in hopes that there would be one open to play RatRun on in the computer room. You MacGeeks have no idea how lucky you are to have your sweet precious "Clones".

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

Ok, after wasting my time watching you destroy a mac clone (for about 20 seconds) I have to ask..

Do you have a job? I'm not kidding around or being a smart ass. I never had a computer growing up and would have built my parents a shrine if I'd had anything like that at your age.

While others have suggested since you are young that you have some kind of excuse for doing these stupid things, I tend to disagree. Destroying something just for the sake of destroying it in my mind makes me believe you are a spoiled brat.

Going against you mothers wishes regarding weapons in the house makes me think you have no respect for anyone or anything (including yourself given the banter back and forth in these forum posts).

So this is the future of America. Let's all take a moment of silence and pray it's not the case.
