iMovie always crashes when I play the movie in preview using the two little buttons on the bottom left of the iMovie window, either full screen or in the small window. Anyone experience similar problems. I have a MacBook 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM and Leopard OS.

All software updates applied?
Does it crash no matter which event you have selected?

Oh, great! Another crappy iMovie version. A good reason not to invest in iLife '09

It's nice that you're trying to rationalize not upgrading to iLife 08. More power to you.
iMovie 09 is such leaps and bounds ahead of iMovie 08 that it's not even funny, though.
I love using it.
Hasn't crashed once on me, FWIW.
